Ingredients for Paneer Butter Masala Recipe:
- 200g paneer
- 2 medium-sized onions
- 2 medium-sized tomatoes
- 2 green chillies
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp oil

- 1/2 cup cream

Instructions for Paneer Butter Masala Recipe:
- Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds. Once they start to splutter, add the chopped onions and green chillies. Saute until the onions are translucent.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and saute for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
- Now add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
- Add the coriander powder, garam masala, and turmeric powder. Mix well and cook for a few minutes until the spices are well combined.
- Once the mixture has cooled down, blend it to a smooth paste.
- In a pan, add 2 tablespoons of butter and the tomato-onion-spice paste. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the butter separates from the mixture.
- Now add the kasuri methi, salt, and sugar. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
- Cut the paneer into bite-sized cubes and add them to the gravy. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add half a cup of cream and mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the paneer is coated with the creamy gravy.
- Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice.

- Use fresh paneer for the best taste and texture. You can also make your own paneer at home by curdling milk with lemon juice or vinegar.
- Adjust the spice levels according to your taste preferences. You can add more or less green chillies, garam masala, or red chilli powder depending on your preference.
- If you don't have kasuri methi, you can substitute it with a pinch of dried oregano or basil.
